What to know before refunding your ticket:
- Tickets can be refunded no later than 20 minutes before the train’s departure.
- Refunds are subject to a cancellation fee charged by the carrier and PolishTrains.

TICKET RETURN

Domestic ticket (PKP Intercity)
- You can return a ticket no later than 20 minutes before the train’s departure.
- Cancellation of a domestic ticket is subject to a fee charged by the Carrier (amounting to 15% of the ticket price) and a fee charged by the EuroPodróże service.
- The amount due to the User for the refunded ticket is transferred via the same payment method used to purchase the ticket, within 3 days.
- It is not possible to refund a ticket that has been checked by a ticket inspector. A refund can only be obtained by making a complaint.
- After the train’s departure time, a ticket can only be refunded via a complaint. The terms and conditions for complaints depend on the relevant Carrier’s terms and conditions. For a complaint to be accepted, proof that the ticket has not been used is required; this is issued at the ticket office no later than the date and time of the ticket’s validity, or a document issued by the conductor stating the reason why the ticket was not used. In the case of tickets for EIP and EIC trains purchased as part of the ** “SuperPromo”** or ** “Promo” offers,** a cancellation certificate can be obtained upon notification and presentation of the ticket at a ticket office or service point within 30 minutes of the train’s scheduled departure.
International ticket (PKP Intercity)
- The ticket may be returned no later than 20 minutes before the train’s departure.
- Cancellation of an international ticket incurs a fee charged by the Carrier (amounting to 10% of the ticket price if the ticket is returned no later than one day before the train’s departure, or 50% if the ticket is returned on the day of the train’s departure) and a fee charged by the EuroPodróże service.
- The amount due to the User for the refunded ticket is transferred via the same payment method used to purchase the ticket, within 3 days.
- After the train’s departure time, a ticket can only be refunded via a complaint. The terms and conditions for complaints depend on the terms and conditions of the relevant Carrier. For a complaint to be accepted, proof that the ticket has not been used must be provided; this is issued at the ticket office no later than the date and time of the ticket’s validity, or a document issued by the conductor stating the reason why the ticket was not used.
- Tickets purchased under the Super Promo International fare are non-refundable.
Regional and international tickets
- A ticket may be refunded prior to the scheduled departure time. The deadline for cancellation depends on the Carrier’s selected fare.
- In the case of Koleje Wielkopolskie, a refund can be obtained no later than 23:59 on the day preceding the start of the ticket’s validity.
- Cancelling a regional or international ticket involves a fee charged by the carrier (the amount of which depends on the type of ticket, fare and carrier) and a fee charged by the EuroPodróże service.
- The amount due to the User for the refunded ticket is transferred via the same payment method used to purchase the ticket, within 3 days.
- After the train’s departure time, a ticket can only be refunded by making a complaint. The terms and conditions for making a complaint depend on the terms and conditions of the relevant Carrier.
TICKET EXCHANGE
- Ticket exchanges can be made up to 30 minutes before train departure.
- Exchanges can be made only within such parameters as: date, time, type of reduced fare (size of reduced fare), passenger's name.
- The new ticket must not differ in terms of: the number of persons and stations.

Domestic ticket (PKP Intercity)
- Changes can be made up to 30 minutes before the scheduled train departure.
- Depending on the service,changes can be made to the following details: date, time, discount type (discount rate), and the passenger’s first name and surname.
- The new ticket must not differ in terms of: the number of passengers or the stations.
- If the price of the new ticket is higher than that of the ticket being exchanged, the exchange will only take place once the additional payment has been made, provided that this payment is made at least 30 minutes before the departure of the train to which the exchanged ticket relates. A link to make the additional payment will be sent once you have completed the form below and the exchange has been successfully confirmed.
- If the price of the new ticket is lower, the difference in ticket prices will be refunded to the account or card used for payment.
International ticket (PKP Intercity)
- A ticket can be exchanged no later than the day before the train’s departure.
- Depending on the journey,changes can be made to the following details: date, time, allocated seat, and the passenger’s first name and surname.
- The new ticket must not differ in terms of the number of passengers or the stations.
- If the price of the new ticket is higher than that of the ticket being exchanged, the exchange will only take place once the additional payment has been made, provided that this payment was made at least one day before the departure of the train to which the exchanged ticket relates. A link to make the additional payment will be sent once you have completed the form below and the exchange has been successfully confirmed.
- If the price of the new ticket is lower, the difference in ticket prices will be refunded to the account or card used for payment.
- Tickets purchased under the Super Promo International fare are not eligible for exchange.
