Train travel, including with a bicycle, made much easier. More and more bicycle carriages are being opened or at least places for safely attaching your bike. The costs of transporting a bicycle are not high, usually they come in the form of a lump sum regardless of the length of the route.

Therefore, trips to more distant corners of the country and Europe are becoming easier to arrange. No car or bicycle rack is required. With PKP (Polish State Railways), the departure can be very successful and comfortable due to a reduction in the number of changes.

Especially since both Poland and Europe have a well-prepared infrastructure. New bike routes for tourists at various levels of advancement are being opened. Thanks to convenient connections to larger and smaller cities, the slogan “biking through Europe and Poland” is not empty at all. Along the routes, facilities for short rest, gastronomy, and accommodation are prepared.

Review of the Most Beautiful Bike Trails in Poland

We invite you to a brief review of some of the most beautiful bicycle routes in Poland. This is of course just a small slice. Local authorities take care to enrich their tourist facilities also with cyclists in mind, therefore new, increasingly better-prepared routes are being created.

Velo Czorsztyn

Among the most beautiful bike routes in Poland, Velo Czorsztyn is certainly counted. This route is perfect for a weekend, it is only 30 kilometers long, and the total climbs along the way are just 187 meters. It runs around Lake Czorsztyn. On site, apart from beautiful views of the mountains, there is a lot to see: the castle in Niedzica or the Dunajec breakthrough. Moreover, this route can easily be extended by using the Velo Dunajec trail.

In addition, demanding people who appreciate physical effort also in the mountains can go on a trip to their higher parts, also by bike. You will surely remember the altitude differences for a long time, but the beautiful views will reward you a lot. The whole Velo Czorsztyn route is paved with asphalt, so the comfort of cycling is very high. The trees provide cooling even on a warm day.

EuroVelo 10

Do you prefer the sea? Choose EuroVelo 10, the route from Świnoujście to Elbląg (you can easily get to both of these cities by train). The whole route is 540 kilometers, so you can easily spread it over several days or even choose separate sections to drive by to see as much as possible along the way. It’s one of the most popular bike routes in Poland — the readings of the counters installed on it clearly show that during the holidays it is used by even several thousand tourists every day. Importantly, along the way, there are no problems with accommodation, gastronomy, or simply resting points. You can extend the route because it is part of Velo Baltica, the route around the Baltic Sea.

Iron Bike Trail – Żelazny Szlak Rowerowy

Looking for something shorter, also with children, in Silesia? One of the most beautiful bike routes in Poland is undoubtedly the Iron Bike Trail.
